My name is Martin. I'm a teacher for disadvantaged 15 to 18 years old pupils in Vienna, Austria. My coworkers and I try to help them find a job and teach them the skills they need to keep it.
I like to read, and I'm a really big fan of Horace and James Joyce (my user name refers to the hero of "Ulysses"). I'm also interested in music, cinema and arts in general, both "high" and "pop", and I don't arrogate "good" taste. I'm trying not to be bored, that's all. I like to travel or hang out with friends. I'm not really the sporty type.
My mother tongue is German. Before I decided to become a teacher, I studied Latin and ancient Greek for six semesters at the university, but didn't finish. Apart from that I understand and can speak a little French.
(I've had my share of LJ drama, thank you very much. That's why this blog is friends protected from now on. Pardon the paranoia, but it's very unlikely that I'm going to add more friends.)
